Betsy wrote a short article for a friend’s blog about the special history of a garlic variety which had been passed down from just two other pairs of hands in Nebraska for over 100 years.  The story of this unnamed variety illustrated the power of seed resilience. It ended up published in Mother Earth News quarterly print magazine.  When she wrote the article she never intended to sell it, but here we are with a high demand, happy to get this garlic in the hands and gardens (and bellies) of other garlic enthusiasts. To date, Betsy has received over 600 requests for this special garlic. Finally, we’ve worked through the waitlist and are now taking orders for our 2024 crop.

Since we are a ma and pop small farm operation with no online retail or order fulfillment we are doing this “the old fashioned way”. Seed garlic for planting is available in either 1lb or 5lb packages for $30/lb + $18 shipping & handling. If you are local, pickup is an option, just put pickup in the address line of the form, and skip that fee and let us know if you want to pay cash upon pickup. We plan to ship beginning the week of Sept 9th. If you live outside the US, please contact us with your address for shipping rate.

To get garlic you must:

1) Fill out this order form and submit it.

2) Find a completed copy of your order form automatically emailed to you. Print this form.

3) Send the printed form and a check or money order to us by mail or let us know that you plan to pick it up and pay cash at that time.
